Pioneer Audio System: CT-F6161 + SX-550

The Pioneer CT-F6161 cassette deck and SX-550 stereo receiver bring together two complementary sides of domestic listening and recording. The CT-F6161’s twin meters and direct recording controls make the cassette process visible, while the SX-550’s broad analogue tuning scale and ordered controls place radio reception and amplification at the centre of the system. The two components are presented as one Pioneer audio-system record; the speaker pair shown in the illustrative scene is a separate collection item.
